Cookies and local storage

Cookies are small files a website puts in your browser. "Local storage" does a similar job inside our apps. This page lists what each part of Blockchain Melanesia keeps in your browser and why.

1. In short

• Our website sets no cookies and counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or identify you.
• Our store uses the cookies it needs to hold your cart and sign you in.
• Our apps keep your sign-in, language and some unsent drafts in your browser so they work, and so they keep working on a weak connection. None of this is used for advertising.
• We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

2. What we keep and why

Type	Examples	Why
Sign-in	Your BM ID session and when you were last active	Keeps you signed in, and signs you out after a period of inactivity.
Preferences	Language (English / Tok Pisin), printer choice	Remembers your settings.
Drafts and offline	An unsent quote, an agent application, sales recorded offline	So a dropped connection does not lose your work.
App files	The installable app's saved files	Lets the app open quickly and work offline.
Store	Cart, checkout and sign-in cookies	Runs the shopping cart and checkout.

3. Your control

You can clear cookies and site data in your browser's settings at any time. If you do, you will be signed out and unsent drafts will be lost. Blocking the store's cookies stops the cart working. Payment providers (BSP, DOKU) may set their own cookies on their payment pages; their policies apply there.
