Rural Starlink, delivered as a solar kiosk with a local agent.
One hardware stack — solar, Starlink, community Wi-Fi — sold as the Village Fast Internet Kiosk and run through Konekt, so the community pays in kina and the revenue stays accountable.
Solar power array
Panels and battery bank for 24-hour off-grid operation.
Starlink dish
Low-earth-orbit backhaul to villages no cable will ever reach.
Community Wi-Fi
Managed Wi-Fi that opens with a Konekt voucher.
How access works today
Live at two hotspots. Bundles run from K2 for an hour to K60 for a month; a Day Pass is K5. The on-chain meter and automatic revenue split are the next milestone, not the current build.
- 1Villager tops up a BM wallet — cash at a Konekt agent or BSP Pay
- 2Buys a Konekt voucher in the app, or at the kiosk
- 3Your phone is online; each voucher has its own time and data allowance
- 4Revenue is recorded in BM's ledger and split with the local agent
- NextMeter and split settle on Solana — roadmap milestone M4
Live sites
Two community hotspots are live today, both running the same vouchers, rules and data allowances.
- Tabubil Hospital
Community hotspot at the hospital, Western Province. Live since September 2026.
LIVE - Kennedy
Community hotspot, Kennedy, National Capital District. Live since September 2026.
LIVE - Okma
Kit packed, awaiting commissioning.
PLANNED
What a site needs
- A safe, shaded spot for the panels, battery box and dish with clear sky to the north
- A local agent who sells vouchers, takes cash top-ups and looks after the kit
- A phone with the Konekt app — the agent's stock, sales and split are all recorded there
