The problem
A school with no reliable internet cannot reach the national curriculum online, download revision material, or give teachers any professional development. Where there is no grid power, a generator eats the budget.
How we solve it
Satellite broadband with off-grid solar, campus Wi-Fi for staff and students, and a community hotspot on the Konekt voucher model so the school can share its connection with the village on its own terms. SkulFi lets parents pay school fees through the same BM rails.

Common questions
Can students use it for free?
That is the school's decision. Campus Wi-Fi for teaching is normally open; the community hotspot uses vouchers so the link stays affordable and is not swamped.
Does it need mains power?
No. The solar and battery system is sized for the campus, so the school is online during outages too.
Can parents pay fees through it?
SkulFi records and takes school-fee payments through BM Pay on BSP Pay, with a receipt for every payment.
Connect Our Schools, LOT 9 — New Ireland
In May 2026 we submitted a proposal under NICTA's Connect Our Schools programme with WISP Limited: fixed satellite broadband and 5 kW off-grid solar for three secondary schools in Kavieng District — Mongop, Manggai and Utu — with campus Wi-Fi, a community hotspot and 24-month support. It is awaiting NICTA's decision.
