Common questions
Who pays the monthly Starlink plan?
The plan is between the household and Starlink. It can be paid with an overseas card, so you can carry it for the family if you wish.
Can I top up their internet or wallet from overseas?
Not yet by card. Today a BM wallet is topped up in cash at a Konekt agent or by BSP Pay from a PNG bank account. Card top-ups for the diaspora are on the roadmap.
What if there is no power at home?
Ask for the Rural Starter Kit quote — a Starlink Mini with a portable power station and a solar panel.
Is the money safe?
Card payments are processed by DOKU, a licensed payment provider; Blockchain Melanesia never sees your card details. Bank payments in PNG go through BSP Pay.
